PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make grass discharge of a sulky type lawn mower stable and safe. SOLUTION: When turf accumulated in a grass-collecting case 7 is discharged to a high position, opening operation is controlled between a blower 8 and a connecting cylinder 10 to make the blower 8 communicate with the connecting cylinder 10 by operating an opening and closing device 12 provided in the blower 8, and a space between the blower 8 and the starting end side of a carrying cylinder 6 is kept in closed state and final end side part of the carrying cylinder 6 is taken out from the blower 8 and a discharge cylinder 14 is connected to the blower 8. Then, the sulky type lawn mower is traveled to a turf discharge position and e blower 8 and the agitating shaft 9b are rotated and driven. Thereby, agitating projections 9a of the agitating shaft 9b provided in the lower part of the grass-collecting case 1 are rotated and turf in the case is agitated to swell and soften the turf and the swollen and softened turf is sucked through the connecting cylinder 10 by the blower 8 and further, the turf is discharged from the blower 8 through the discharge cylinder 14 to a desired position.
