PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to reduce an excess length generated in the tail of a long work in pushing and bending process. SOLUTION: Figure (a) conducts a normal bending, when the rear end (tail) of a long work reaches a prescribed position in the next Figure (b), a second die 39 shown in an imaginary line is moved up to the position shown in a solid line. Figure (c) shows that the distance between die distance reaches the minimum L0, at this time in principle, the long work is stopped to feed. Thus, D2 in Figure is an excess length at the tail 7. The excess length is extremely shorter than one generated in a conventional way. As a result, the yield in manufacturing is improved.
