PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering method in which deterioration of filtering performance due to an abrasion caused by scratching rubbing against each other, etc., of a suspension component and the membrane itself is suppressed when suspension water is filtered, and which is excellent from the viewpoint of the cost and environment, and stable for a long period. SOLUTION: In this filtering method of a suspension water, the suspension water in which the suspension component is fine particles containing an inorganic component, is filtered under external pressure by using a module housing a polyethylene hollow fibers porous membrane having a three dimensional net-like sponge structure in the membrane structure and having >=25% numerical aperture of the external membrane surface.
