PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high-efficiency sterilization of the domestic feed slightly contaminated with microorganisms, for example, Salmonella in reduced treatment costs, simplify the structure of the sterilizer to inexpensively lower the production cost, inhibit the leakage of steam as much as possible and prevent the domestic feed from being moistened with the steam drain. SOLUTION: The domestic feed slightly contaminated with Salmonella or the like is stirred under an air-tight conditions, simultaneously a low-pressure steam of 0.1-0.5 kg/cm2 is heated at 180-260 deg.C and introduced into the domestic feed for 2-6 minutes to kill the Salmonella.
