INDEX TABLE DRIVING MECHANISM OF GLASS PRESS MOLDING MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index table driving mechanism of a glass press molding machine capable of making an improvement in quality compatible with an improvement in productivity and a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: This index table driving mechanism is composed of connecting a servo motor of positional control through a speed reducing mechanism or a speed reducer to a rotating shaft of an indexing table 7 so that indexing operations can be realized by control for changing the positional command every moment and the speed pattern and dividing number can be changed in the index table driving mechanism of the glass press molding machine having a constitution provided with plural metal molds 5 on the indexing table 7 and capable of charging a gob 3 into the metal molds 5 while making the indexing table 7 perform the indexing operations, press molding the gob 3 with a pressing cylinder 4 and taking out the molded product with a takeout 8.
