PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing technique winch can attain an image of high quality, avoiding the contact of a printing head with a printing medium, even when the printing medium cockles. SOLUTION: The printing head having a plurality of nozzles for discharging ink is allowed to form dots in superposition on each pixel on the printing medium, while conducting main scanning and sub-scanning relatively on the printing medium, and the image is recorded by discharging the ink from the nozzles. In a printing apparatus thus constituted, the printing head is provided with the nozzles in a plurality in a state wherein the distance between the nozzle for forming lastly the dot on each pixel on the recording medium and the medium is larger than that between the nozzle forming first the dot and the medium. The discharge of the ink is controlled at the timings set beforehand in conformity with the distances between the nozzles and the printing medium. |
