PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered body having a high porosity and high mechanical strength and high dimensional precision. SOLUTION: This method for producing a sintered body consists of a stage in which a composition is formed from raw material powder, an organic binder and a gap forming material having a decomposition temperature higher than that of the organic binder, a primary degreasing stage in which the organic binder is removed to obtain the first degreased body, the secondary degreasing stage in which the gap forming material is removed to obtain the secondary degreased body and a stage in which the secondary degreased body is sintered to obtain a sintered body.
