PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter balance-type fork lift capable of easily executing the mounting and demounting work and the maintenance work of a control unit. SOLUTION: A recessed part 53 having a continuous opening 52 is formed from an upper face 51 to a rear side face 50 of a counter weight 7, and the control unit 54 is mounted in the recessed part 53. As the opening 52 is opened at an upper part and a rear side part, the mounting and demounting work, and the maintenance work of the control unit 54 can be executed in an upright posture without taking a half-sitting posture.
