PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compacted winch device capable of rotating a winch drum to be rotated by a planetary reduction mechanism, independently from the planetary reduction mechanism. SOLUTION: A motor 3 for driving a winch drum 2, and a carrier shaft 14 of the planetary reduction mechanism 6 are mounted on one of fixing parts 11, one end of the winch drum 2 and one end of a ring gear 27 forming the planetary reduction mechanism 6 are respectively rotatably supported on a boss part 11a of one of the fixing parts 11, a torque shaft 7 integrated with the ring gear 27 is rotatably supported on the other fixing part 12, and the other end part of the winch drum 2 is rotatably supported on the torque shaft 7. The rotation of the torque shaft 7 is transmitted to the winch drum 2 through an internal expanding band clutch 9.
