PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the impact position error in the deflection direction derived from fluttering or ruggedness of a medium, irregularity of a liquid droplet ejection rate, or the like. SOLUTION: In addition to a charge electrode 1 and a deflection electrode 2, an orientation electrode 3 is provided so that a liquid droplet 4 deflected by the deflection electrode 2 is deflected in the opposite direction (counter deflection) by the electrode 3. Thereby, the impact position error in the deflection direction derived from fluttering or ruggedness of a medium can be restrained as well as the impact position error in the deflection direction derived from irregularity of a liquid droplet ejection rate can be restrained since the medium horizontal direction component of the flight speed of the deflected liquid droplet is not changed significantly even in the case the liquid droplet ejection rate is changed dramatically.
