PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a process wherein a calendar 1 is manufactured by placing a header sheet 3 on a sheet bundle 2 comprising a plurality of sheets, and binding them with a thread. SOLUTION: While positioning the sheet bundle 2 which is held on a carrying table 10, a perforation process is performed by a paper-aligning section-cum- perforation processing section 12. The header sheet 3 is placed on the sheet bundle 2 by a header sheet processing-feeding section 13. The header sheet 3 is positioned to the sheet bundle 2 by a positioning section 14. The positioned sheet bundle and the header sheet are clamped by a carrying clamp 61 so that they may not move to each other, and carried by a carrying mechanism 60. A sewing section 15 is equipped with a sewing machine 70 which binds the sheet bundle 2 and the header sheet 3 with a thread by cooperating with the carrying mechanism. Then, the paper-aligning section-cum-perforation processing section 12, the header sheet processing-feeding section 13, the positioning section 14, the carrying mechanism 60 and the sewing section 15 or the like are loaded, and the sheet bundle 2 is moved to those locations in order. Thus, the processes such as the perforation processing for the sheet bundle 2, the feeding of the header sheet, the positioning, and the sewing are automated.
