PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam-molded article having a high extent of foaming and high heat insulating properties, having low heat of combustion and generating very little black smoke, molten residue of the resin and ash when incinerated. SOLUTION: The foamable resin particle includes an easily volatile blowing agent and is obtained by suspension polymerization of acrylates and/or methacrylates, unsaturated nitriles and polymerizable functional group containing silane compounds represented by general formula (1) (wherein X is an organic group having a copolymerizable double bond; Y is a hydrolyzable group; Z is an inert monovalent organic group; m is an integer of 1-3; and n is an integer of 3-m). There are also provided a method for manufacturing the foamable resin particle and a foam-molded article.
