PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep the inner air pressure of a cylinder negative and reduce the cost of the feeder for molding materials. SOLUTION: The feeder is provided with a cylinder member, a hopper for molding material that stocks molding materials, a docompressor that generates vacuum pressure inside the cylinder, and a molding material feeder that supplies molding materials into the cylinder always keeping the inner air pressure of the cylinder negative. The molding material feeder has a valve holder, a molding materil storage section that holds molding materilas, and detachably attached to rotary valve (47) rotably supported and the opening of the molding material a storage section, and further provided with a protector which protects the rotary valve (47). Since the protector can be exchanged, the rotary valve (47) can be prevented from being damaged.
