PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic cell which prevents decline of the electrolytic efficiency by practically making a space between composing elements or a contact pressure over the whole surface of each element uniform. SOLUTION: This electrolytic cell has a solid electrolyte membrane (2), and electrode plate (4) provided on both sides of the membrane (2) and a power dispatcher (5) installed between the membrane (2) and electrode plate (4), and a shim (10) is installed between the electrode plates (4) to adjust the contact pressure between the membrane (2) and dispatcher (5).
