PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating oil recovery apparatus for positively bonding an oil film floating on the surface of oil to an oil adsorbing belt and enabling the position of the oil adsorbing belt to follow the up and down change of the surface of oil and increasing the recovery quantity of floating oil per a unit time. SOLUTION: This floating oil recovery apparatus consists of a drive pulley 3 rotated outside an oil tank 1, a driven pulley 4 rotated on the surface of the oil in the oil tank 1 by the oil adsorbing belt trained over the drive pulley 3 and the driven pulley 4 and an oil gathering pulley 14 arranged in parallel to the driven pulley 4 and rotated so as to follow the rotation of the driven pulley 4, and flanges 6, 16 are provided on both sides of the driven pulley and the oil gathering pulley 14.
