PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body movement state-evaluating device wherein the motion of hands or the kicking of legs are reflected in the evaluation. SOLUTION: A foot switch 3 detects foot stepping locations. Transmission sensors 4 to 6 are provided at specified locations, and output the existence of an objective and the detection timings when the objective shuts off the optical axes. Thus, the transmission sensors 4 to 6 detect the movements of hands and the kicking up of legs. The transmission sensors wherein a plurality of optical axes are arranged in parallel detect the location, or the moving speed or the like of the objective which shuts off the light paths. A display 2 displays the reference of a body movement state and the ideal movement. At the same time, the display 2 displays the evaluation of the movement under a point style. The evaluation of the movement is recognized by a player by a melody when melody data for the output of the evaluation is announced as well.
