PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent electron beam-curable coating material for optical fiber, having a sufficiently high refractive index, producible at a low cost and not yellowing with the lapse of time and to provide a method for curing the coating material, having such excellent effects as to obtain sufficient cure degree and stable properties without affecting the transmission loss in the optical fiber coated therewith. SOLUTION: This electron beam-curable coating material for optical fiber is characterized by comprising an electron beam-curable resin composition containing an ultraviolet light absorber.
