PURPOSE: A combined drum type washing machine and dryer is provided, in which hot air is discharged through dehydration holes formed on the washing tube, and moistened air to be rapidly discharged through the exhaust fan, to thereby achieve the improved efficiency of drying. CONSTITUTION: A combined drum type washing machine and dryer comprises: a washing unit including a water reservoir(12), and a washing drum(14) mounted to be rotatable in the water reservoir and which has many dehydration holes(14a); a driving unit having a drive motor(20) for rotating the washing drum; and a drying unit constituted by a heater(40) arranged above the washing drum, a blower fan(42) arranged in the vicinity of the heater to blow air toward the heater, and a blower duct(44) for forming an air flow passage from the blower fan toward the gap defined between the water reservoir and the washing drum, wherein the drying unit dries the laundry by allowing the hot air flowing from the heater to be discharged through dehydration holes formed at the washing drum. The drying unit further includes an exhaust fan(50) for discharging the hot air discharged from the lower portion of the washing drum and moistened through contact with laundry. |
