PURPOSE: A flue tube and water tube boiler is provided to reduce the volume of a boiler and increase heat efficiency, while allowing water to be rapidly heated. CONSTITUTION: A plate type heating reservoir(3) is arranged around the lower portion of a boiler body(1) with a flue tube(2). First and second heat exchange chambers(4,5) are arranged to communicate with each other above the flue tube and the heating reservoir. The first heat exchange chamber includes a first U-shaped heat exchange tube(7), and a second U-shaped heat exchange tube(8) longer than the first U-shaped heat exchange tube is arranged to communicate with the first U-shaped heat exchange tube. The first and second U-shaped heat exchange tubes are arranged at the uppermost portion of the first heat exchange chamber and a second high temperature heat exchange chamber. An exhaust passage(9) is arranged in the rear of the flue tube and the first heat exchange chamber, in such a manner that the exhaust passage is perpendicular to the flue tube. A plate type radiant heating reservoir(10) is arranged in a vertical direction to communicate with the heating reservoir, and a flame chamber(11) and a smoke exhaust chamber(12) are formed in the front and rear of the radiant heating reservoir. Water tubes(13) are installed in the flame chamber and the smoke exhaust chamber, in such a manner that the water tubes are arranged to be parallel with the radiant heating reservoir and to communicated with the heating reservoir.
