PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nameplate which is a stable usable in a beautiful state for a long period of time without the risk of wearing and peeling as a result of rubbing against another objects and makes the formed characters and patterns stereoscopically visible in relief. SOLUTION: The nameplate comprises a substrate which has a surface formable with the characters and patterns and a backside coated with an adhesive and a surface over-coating material consisting of a transparent material having the backside which is coated with the adhesive adherable to the characters and patterns formed on the surface of the substrate while covering such characters and patterns.
