PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet coil which can be formed with high efficiency in work without requiring any bobbin nor the successive connection of the terminal sections of upper and lower conductive films. SOLUTION: This sheet coil is formed in such a way that core leg passing holes 15 are bored through a narrow and long insulating sheet 10 and a plurality of U-shaped sections 17 composed of conductive films 11 are alternately, continuously, and connectively formed around the holes 15. Then the sheet 10 is folded up in such a way that two adjacent U-shaped sections 17 lie upon another in an electrically insulated state and form a loop. A sheet transformer is formed by inserting the core legs 21 of a core 20 into the holes 15 of the coil. This sheet coil can also be utilized as a choke coil not having the core 20.
