Pallet base with spring tiltable floor panel

A container or pallet base (2) comprises a base covering sheet (12), coupling means for four interconnectable side panels and means for tilting the base covering sheet (12) and side panels. The tilting means includes a movable covering sheet engaging part (16) and resilient means such as a compression spring to bias the sheet engaging part (16) upwards and thereby raise the base covering sheet (12) to a tilted position. The tilted position of the base covering sheet (12) enables the emptying of residual liquid from a container supported on the base covering sheet.
