PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor having circuit board extendibility resistance and excellent circuit board bendability resistance and a mechanical strength durable against a stress caused by an extension and a contraction of a circuit board due to a thermal impact or a deflection of the board due to an external force particularly in the case of mounting on the board. SOLUTION: The multilayer ceramic capacitor is provided with a laminate obtained by laminating a plurality of ceramic layers, a plurality of internal electrodes formed between the ceramic layers so as to expose edges with any end face of the layers, and an external electrode provided to be connected to the exposed internal electrodes. In this case, the external electrode contains a conductive component, and an inorganic binder containing a phosphate glass and/or an alkali silicate glass.
