SOCKET FOR FLUORESCENT LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for a fluorescent lamp which improves operability in mounting of the fluorescent lamp and prevents loose connection of a lamp pin due to vibration or the like after mounting of the lamp and enhances a sureness of lamp holding. SOLUTION: The socket for the fluorescent lamp is provided with a contact piece 12 or the like to connect to a lamp pin of the fluorescent lamp, which is inserted toward a mounting direction from the insertion side and rotated and engaged with the socket. The socket is further provided with a contact piece 12 equipped with a pair of upright parts 15a set upright nearly in parallel having a contact part 17 for holding the lamp pin at the tip, as well as a lamp pin up-pressing spring 21 extended from the lamp pin mounting side to the direction of the lamp-pin insertion side in oblique upward direction and energizing the lamp pin.
