PURPOSE: A laminar flow cooling device is provided which uniformly cools a steel sheet in a width direction by uniformly controlling a flow rate of cooling water sprayed in a width direction. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling device in which a cooling water supply pipe(11) supplying cooling water from a tank installed at a high elevation passes through the width of a header(2), a plurality of cooling water supply holes(111) are formed on the cooling water supply pipe(11) positioned inside the header(2) so as to provide the header(2) with cooling water, and laminar flow of cooling water dropped from the header(2) is made and sprayed through a plurality of nozzles(6) installed on the lower part of the header(2) in a width direction of a steel sheet, the laminar flow cooling device enabling widthwise uniformed cooling is characterized in that the cooling water supply holes(111) are formed with spaced apart from each other in a certain distance in such a manner that the more far way from the inlet part of cooling water they are, the smaller their sizes are so that a flow rate of the cooling water flown into the header(2) from the cooling water supply pipe(11) is uniformly controlled in a width direction of the steel sheet, thereby uniformly maintaining a flow distribution of the cooling water dropped from the nozzles(6) of the header(2) in a width direction of the steel sheet.
