PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and periodically inform a user of the present count of the number of copies. SOLUTION: The threshold number of copies to be displayed on a copy number counter operation part is set and stored in a nonvolatile RAM 205. Every time a copy is made, a counter for counting up to the threshold number is set in the RAM 205 together with an ordinary counter. When a copy is made, a count displayed on the screen of the copy number counter operation part is incremented together with the ordinary copy number counter (steps 401 to 406). Every time a copy is made, the counted value is compared with the threshold (step 407). When the counted value is larger than the threshold, the copy number count is displayed on an operation display screen (step 408). |
