PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that audio data can not be reproduced by instructing an output by selecting a menu on a video picture while a TV monitor is not connected concerning a conventional DVD audio player with video output function. SOLUTION: An output data selecting part 9 for reading data on a DVD audio disk 3 can output the output data designated by an automatic data selection designating part 10 or the like to a signal separating part 12, can output the audio data from an output part of the audio data to a speaker 16 and can output video data from an output part of the video data to a TV monitor 21 respectively. When the TV monitor is not connected, when the power source of the TV monitor is turned off or when the TV monitor is used for navigation or broadcasting receiving, only independent audio data from an output data part 9 are outputted by the automatic data selection designating part 10. In the opposite state, audio data with video data are outputted and video is displayed on the TV monitor.
