摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front substrate of an AC discharge type plasma flat display that generates uniform electric field and plasma, prevents ions from bombarding the rear substrate and improves the lifetime of display, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: By means of exposing, developing and sandblasting techniques, a plurality of dielectric layer film walls 321 are formed, so as to extend vertically on the inner face of a glass substrate 32 and horizontally disposed at intervals. Also by utilizing a printing system, electrodes are printed in a piling manner between two adjacent dielectric layer film walls 321, corresponding to set positions of X and Y electrodes. Furthermore, by printing a protective layer 35 thereon, the front substrate 31 is formed. Discharge faces formed between neighboring X and Y electrodes are in parallel, so that discharge paths on the discharge face become almost linear.
