The trap comprises two frames (2,3) which pivot about a common axis (4). Each frame comprises two opposite sides (5,6,7,8) whose central portions form jaws. Activating rings (19,20,21,22) encircling an articulation side common to the two frames can be driven from trap open to closed positions by a spring (13). The corners of the frames have a first rectilinear section and a second curved section. The length of the articulation side (9,10,11,12) encircled by the rings is greater than the distance separating the trap jaws.
