PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device for preventing the 'vignetting' of the flashlight of a stroboscope light and the 'red eye' phenomenon of a photographed person, eliminating the need of a hop-up mechanism, lowering the cost and realizing miniaturization. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel part 4 is provided on a video camera main body part 1 so as to freely perform an opening/closing operation with a hinge part 3 as a turning fulcrum and a rotating operation in an inversion direction. The stroboscopic light 7 capable of angle adjustment in the vertical direction (up and down directions) and 180 deg. inversion is provided on an upper outer end part on the back surface side on the opposite side of the liquid crystal screen 5 of the liquid crystal panel part 4.
