PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new information recording/detecting method by which information, particularly optical information, can be recorded in high density and which has few faults when the information is detected and to provide an information recording medium. SOLUTION: This information recording/detecting method comprises recording/reading information on/from an organic material constituting the recording region of the information recording medium as a change of a vibrating response preferably by using an optical means. This information recording medium is used for recording information by this method.
