PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a desired parameter by a remarkably small quantity of arithmetic concerning a calculation cost for the extraction of a feature point from a face picture. SOLUTION: In order to learn a correlation between an observation pattern and an estimating object previously, this device is provided with a learning means for inputting the first instruction vector and the second instruction vector previously, generating the composed vector of the two inputted instruction vectors and calculating characteristic information on the composed vector, an inputted vector inputting means for inputting the inputted vector, and a parameter estimating means for estimating a parameter characteristic to the inputted vector by using the characteristic information and can estimate the desired parameter by a small quantity of arithmetic.
