CONTROLLER USING ACTUATOR INCLUDING SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for controlling the position of a member to be driven by using an actuator including shape memory alloy. SOLUTION: This controller for controlling the position of a part to be driven in a first direction and a second direction by an actuator is provided with a target position deciding means for deciding a target position to which the member to be driven should be moved, a present position detecting means for detecting the present position of the member to be driven, and a control output arithmetic means for obtaining a control output whose phase is gained by an arithmetic operation performing differentiation twice to a difference between the target position and the present position. The actuator is constituted of shape memory alloy whose shape is maintained in a prescribed dimension and an energizing means for changing the dimension by loading an outer force to the shape memory alloy. The actuator can be constituted of two shape memory alloys whose shapes are memorized with prescribed dimensions.
