METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND WARMING-UP THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat the battery by controlling charging and discharging of a battery and to improve input and output characteristics of the battery with regard to the warm-up control of the battery when its temperature is low, because there is a problem in a hybrid electric vehicle that when it starts with the low-temperature battery, the input and output characteristics of the battery cannot sufficiently be utilized so that drive force required as a vehicle cannot be satisfied. SOLUTION: When the battery temperature detected is lower than a preset value in the hybrid electric vehicle, a drive force by an engine is decreased or increased by a given value and the drive force by a motor is increased or decreased by a given value. Each of the decreased or increased values is used as a command value to control discharging or charging of a battery.
