PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a guide light allowing a large-sized display board to be used with a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: The display device comprises a light guide means 1 with a light emitting surface 12 and a light incident surface 11 integrally mounted on one side of a platy body of the light guide means, a device body 5 with a lighting circuit 54 on the inner side of an opening 51, and cold cathode fluorescent lamps 2a, 2b disposed in such a direction that the electric potentials on adjacent sides 60 are both always on the stable electric potential side by the electric connection of a lead wire 9 led out of first and second linear light source holding members 21, 22 and the lighting device 54. Since the cold cathode fluorescent lamps 2a, 2b on the adjacent sides 60 are positioned so as to have equal potentials are for all times, the display device with a large-sized light guide plate can be manufactured easily at a reduced cost without requiring a special insulation treatment, etc., on the adjacent sides 60. |
