PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, if a clamper arm for holding a clamper is turned in an energized state in turning the clamper arm, the clamper arm cannot heretofore be smoothly turned and that, if the clamper arm is energized on its turning shaft, the moment acting on the turning shaft in clamping action increases excessively and the execution of the smooth lifting action of the clamper is heretofore not possible. SOLUTION: The turning angle of the clamper arm with respect to a disk loading plane is regulated while a reproducing unit 10 having a reproducing base 9 and the clamper arm 4 freely turnably held at the reproducing base is moved by guide means (7 and 2d) when the reproducing unit 10 is movably held and the reproduction of a disk is carried out by moving the reproducing unit to a prescribed reproducing position. When the reproducing unit moves near to the reproducing position, the turning of the clamper arm is controlled by clamping means (20 and 22) to energize the clamper so as to thrust the disk to the turntable.
