PURPOSE: A device for controlling power of radio communication system scheduling packet data service channel and a method the same are provided to control a power of a radio packet data channel effectively by receiving a power control bit corresponding to an FFPC(fast forward power control) in hand-off state. CONSTITUTION: The first process measures a receiving intensity on pilot channel of a power transmitted from the first and the second base station, and transmits the measured receiving intensity to a base station controller through the first and the second base station. The second process calculates a transmission power available for allotment to the second channel, and transmits the transmission power to the base station controller. The third process adds the receiving intensity to the transmission power. The fourth process commands a hand-off to the second base station in case the addition about the second base station is good.
