PURPOSE: A valve seat for ball valve is provided to maintain sealed state even when the contact surface of the inner ring is worn out, by allowing the inner ring of the valve seat to elastically contact the ball-shaped open/shut member. CONSTITUTION: A valve seat(6) is arranged in the vicinity of an open/shut member in the internal flow channel of a valve body so as to maintain sealed state of the valve body. The valve seat includes an outer ring(10) installed in a valve seat installation section arranged inside of the valve body; and an inner ring(11) contacting the open/shut member. The inner ring and the outer ring are interconnected through an elastic connection unit(12), thus allowing the inner ring, outer ring and the elastic connection unit to be formed into a single unit. The inner ring has a rear surface recessed inward further than the rear surface of the outer ring.
