PURPOSE: A method for installing a rigid guard fence on a plate deck of a bridge is provided to install the guard fence only by connecting a wedge anchor embedded in the bottom of a precast type guard fence with a reinforcing rod anchor projecting on a plate deck when the guard fence is seated on the plate deck. CONSTITUTION: A method for installing a rigid guard fence on a plate deck of the bridge includes the steps of arranging a wedge type anchor, which is connected with a plurality of reinforcing rod anchors, in a row at the edge of a bridge plate deck hollowed in a prescribed depth, and seating a precast having a projection(16) formed on one side and a hole(15) formed on the other side. The projection of a precast(11) is coupled with the hole formed at another precast.
