PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for tracking the location of a mobile using ad-hoc are provided, which transmits GPS information of a mobile having a terminal through the ad-hoc without using a public communication network to gives the GPS information of to a location controller. CONSTITUTION: A terminal information signal is received from a terminals(220a,220b,220c) through an ad-hoc, and a GPS information signal of a managing apparatus(240) is received from a GPS satellite. The received terminal information signal and the GPS signal are demodulated to generate a composite signal. The composite signal is modulated into a composite signal for communication which can be used for a communication module. The composite signal for communication is transmitted to a position controller(260). The position controller receives information of the terminal and the managing apparatus to indicate the position of the terminal and information about a mobile having the terminal on a three-dimensional digital electronic map.
