PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a phase of the design printing of a tap coil is provided which prevents position of design printed in the printing process from being deviated from the head part of a tap in which the finger hole part is clogged. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for controlling a phase of the design printing of a tap coil comprises a pair of off-set roll (30) and backup roll which are oppositely arranged so as to transfer a tap coil coiled in a roll shape to the coating and design printing processes; a phase control roll (34) both ends of which are arranged so that the phase control roll is rotated forwardly and reversely by a roll axis (18) supported to supports (20,20') in the state that the center of the phase control roll is lined up with the backup roll; a body (10) to the inside of which a phase controller (48) is mounted; a shaft assembly one end of which is coupled to the roll axis through a first yoke (12), other end of which is operatively connected to the phase controller through a second yoke (16), and the center of which is coaxially coupled to a coupler (14); a roll rotation sensor (50) indirectly detecting a phase of the phase control roll by detecting phase of the first yoke; a transfer (46) which is installed at one side of the body and operatively connected with the phase controller; a phase control motor (40) operating the phase controller by transferring rotary power generated as it is operated by supply of the external power to the transfer through a driving gear (42) and a driven gear (44); and a control unit outputting control signals to the phase control motor based on the signals inputted from the roll rotation sensor.
