Tensioning apparatus (1) has a toothed wheel (3) associated with an index (4) as a tension measurement device. The wheel has its teeth engaging with the teeth of a second wheel (5) driving the axis into rotation around which the string is winding. An Independent claim is also included for the machine to install the strings on the racket.
