PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a piezoelectric actuator having necessary characteristic without resulting in remarkable change of basic structure. SOLUTION: A rectangular vibration plate is manufactured first to manufacture a piezoelectric actuator comprising the vibration plate in which a piezoelectric element plate extending in the longitudinal direction and a reinforcing member are laminated to drive, with displacement by vibration of the vibration plate, a drive object which is placed in contact with the one end in the longitudinal direction of the vibration plate. Thereafter, the rectangular vibration plate is processed to the shape depending on the characteristics required and the manufactured vibration plate is located at the predetermined position of the piezoelectric actuator.
