The solar catchment installation comprises a paraboloid reflector mounted on a carriage (3) driven along a circular track (1), with a drive holding the reflector in the vertical plane focussed towards a heat absorber. The absorber is borne by the carriage and the carriage bridges over two diametrically opposed parts of the track. The carriage is mounted on wheels directed tangentially towards the track. The reflector arrangement incorporates a first reflector which is generally horizontal and has its centrally located center of gravity positioned in the vicinity of the track. It has a second reflector generally vertically orientated and has its centrally located center of gravity located in the vicinity of the track diametrically opposed to the center of gravity of the first part. |
