METHOD FOR MARKING CLASSIFICATION OF ON/OFF LINE DATA

PURPOSE: A method for marking a classification of on/off line data is provided to search data more similar to a user-wanted search word when data are searched by classifying data simply by a combination of symbols using alphabets and numerals. CONSTITUTION: If a requesting subject word is inputted from a user, it is judged whether a synonym identified with the subject word is or not by reading data being stored. If a synonym identified with the subject word is not, the subject word is decided as a new subject word and a symbol embodying stage is performed and the above process is repeated. If a synonym identified with the subject word is, the subject word is temporarily stored and a similar word is searched. The searched word is stored or skipped in accordance with the decision result. It is searched whether a word the pre-row thereof or the post-row thereof which is identified with the subject word is or not. The searched word is stored or skipped in accordance with the decision result. The corresponding symbol is finally decided based on the stored information and the search result in accordance with a distribution is displayed on a screen.
