PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sound recording and simultaneous monitoring function without using high-speed circuit elements by providing a buffer circuit whose processing speed is high in a digital audio signal recording and reproducing device in which a nonvolatile memory is made to be a recording medium. SOLUTION: This digital signal recording and reproducing device is provided with a compression circuit 2 compressingly processing a digital input signal, a buffer circuit 11 temporarily storing the compressingly processed digital input signal, a recording circuit recording the digital input signal temporarily stored in the buffer circuit on a recording medium 3, an expansion circuit 4 expandingly processing the digital input signal temporarily stored in the buffer circuit and a comparator circuit 13 comparing the digital input signal temporarily stored in the buffer circuit with a reproduced signal which is obtained by reproducing the digital input signal recorded on the recording medium and when a compared result is non-coincident, the digital input signal temporarily stored in the buffer circuit is recorded on the recording medium again. |
