<p>The invention comprises reactive dyes, e.g. of the azo, anthraquinone and phthalocyanine series of the formula <FORM:1048870/C4-C5/1> wherein F is a dye radical which may contain -SO3H, -COOH or -CH2CH2OSO3H groups, Y is phenylene which may bear Cl and/or Br, Hal is Cl or Br and m is 1, 2 or 3, which may be obtained by condensation of a dye (or intermediate) containing 1-3 acylatable amino groups with a compound of the formula <FORM:1048870/C4-C5/2> wherein Z is a sulphonyl or carboxylic acid halide or an isocyanate radical and, when an intermediate has been used, completing the formation of the dye in the usual way. The dyes are suitable for dyeing and printing textile materials of natural or regenerated cellulose, wool, silk, synthetic polyamides and polyurethanes and leather. Examples are given and a number of water-soluble dyes are specified.</p> |
