PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapidly procesaable ultrahigh-contrast silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in pressure resistance and exce4llent also in cracking and blackening resistances in deformation and a processing method for the sensitive material. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the base and containing at least one hydrazine compound in at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer, the amount of gelatin on the emulsion layer side of the base is <=2.5 g/m2 and the emulsion layer contains 10 mg/m2 to 5 g/m2 to inorganic particles or composite latex comprising inorganic particles and an organic polymer and 10 mg/m2 to 2.0 g/m2 polymer latex having <=10 deg.C Tg.
