PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile machine and an electronic mail receiving method capable of preventing the output of any inconvenient information. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an electronic mail, a text addition processing part 71 reads text codes from a mail reception memory area 41 one by one from the head by the number of units, and scans a text part until '/*' is found out. When discovering the '/*', the position of the text code is preserved as a start position P in the start position address of the memory. Afterwards, scanning is started, and when '*/' is found, a part from the start position P preserved in the start position address to the position of the text code read at present is decided to be an insertion part, and replaced with a blank code. Afterwards, the text part is printed.
