PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of sheathing material of polymer battery and a processing device processing the length of a sheathing material within short time, with high accuracy and few scatter, preventing short circuit of electrodes caused by burr, without requiring skilled technique. SOLUTION: The processing method of sheathing material of polymer battery, holding a battery element inside a sheet-shaped sheath material 35 folded into two at folding line, making the battery element adhere to the sheathing material 35 by heating, and sealing the battery element, includes a process of holding the sheathing material 35 by a jig in a flatly extended state before folding, and a process of cutting a pair of marginal parts, which at least constitutes the end parts of folded sheathing material 35, from upside to downside in the same direction simultaneously, by moving an upper blade from upside of the sheathing material 35, held by jig, downward, and a process of forming folding line on the upper surface of the sheathing material 35, marginal part of which has been cut and trimmed.
